Possui um Mestrado em Oceanografia Aplicada (2022-2024) e uma Licenciatura em Oceanografia (2016-2019) , ambos pela Universidade Eduardo Mondlane em Quelimane, Mo\u00e7ambique. Durante a sua licenciatura, o seu trabalho centrou-se na modelagem da din\u00e2mica da pluma de sedimentos de atividades de dragagem no Estu\u00e1rio da Beira , e para o seu mestrado, analisou a din\u00e2mica do Canal de Mo\u00e7ambique usando flutuadores de superf\u00edcie e correntes geostr\u00f3ficas e de Ekman derivadas de sat\u00e9lite.<\/p>\n<p>Desde dezembro de 2021, N\u00e9lio atua como Professor J\u00fanior e Pesquisador em tempo integral na Universidade Eduardo Mondlane, em Quelimane, Mo\u00e7ambique. As disciplinas que leciona incluem Mec\u00e2nica dos Fluidos , Oceanografia Din\u00e2mica , Engenharia Costeira e Programa\u00e7\u00e3o. Antes disso, de fevereiro de 2020 a novembro de 2021, foi trainee na INAHINA em Inhambane, Mo\u00e7ambique. L\u00e1, as suas atividades envolviam mar\u00e9s, correntes, temperatura, salinidade, calibra\u00e7\u00e3o e montagem de sensores de n\u00edvel de radar OTT (RLS), montagem de marcadores de mar\u00e9, levantamento hidrogr\u00e1fico e previs\u00e3o de mar\u00e9s, como parte de um projeto de estudo das condi\u00e7\u00f5es de reabilita\u00e7\u00e3o do Porto de Inhambane.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e9lio participou em v\u00e1rios projetos de consultoria, incluindo a restaura\u00e7\u00e3o hidrol\u00f3gica de mangais atrav\u00e9s da an\u00e1lise de topografia e mar\u00e9s como Coordenador de Pesquisa (setembro de 2023 a novembro de 2024) , e atuou como Assistente de Campo em projetos relacionados com a gest\u00e3o integrada de recursos costeiros e an\u00e1lise morfodin\u00e2mica da Pen\u00ednsula de Macaneta (mar\u00e7o de 2024 a novembro de 2024, novembro de 2023 a novembro de 2024). Tamb\u00e9m foi Assistente de Campo em medi\u00e7\u00f5es de topografia, batimetria, ondas e mar\u00e9s na Ba\u00eda de Nacala e Quissimajulo (setembro de 2024) e mapeador de drones para mapeamento de vegeta\u00e7\u00e3o de mangais em v\u00e1rias localidades da Zamb\u00e9zia (mar\u00e7o a junho de 2023).<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9 autor de um artigo de revista sobre a din\u00e2mica da pluma de dragagem no estu\u00e1rio da Beira (2021) e coautor de artigos de confer\u00eancia sobre o modelo hidrodin\u00e2mico do estu\u00e1rio da Beira (2022) , a circula\u00e7\u00e3o hidrodin\u00e2mica da Ba\u00eda de Inhambane (2022) e a avalia\u00e7\u00e3o de n\u00edveis extremos de \u00e1gua associados ao ciclone tropical Idai no estu\u00e1rio da Beira (2021). Em 2022, N\u00e9lio foi o vencedor do pr\u00e9mio #safeocean e favorito da categoria de p\u00fablico no #OceanChallenge4Africa. \u00c9 proficiente em Portugu\u00eas (C2) e tem boas compet\u00eancias em Ingl\u00eas (B2).
